DSSC Diary 2008

To make provision for those who are not of a competitive nature and also to try and gather members together on a pre-determined day, it has been suggested several club fun flys are arranged when the only requirement will be to turn up to fly, chat or spectate. However someone will need to be available to decide on or off and venue, a kind of fun fly sec. Provisional dates below:

CLUB INDOOR MEETINGS
These meetings we hope will continue at the Jolly Farmer with the odd interlude at Stan's workshop. Planned meetings will commence the first Tuesday in Feb, Mar, April, May then Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec. Subjects for above will we hope cover a variety of technical issues, sales and a quiz. Should anyone have other suggestions on the above or even contacts for speakers of club interests, then please speak up.

LITTLE HALDON - BMFA FLYING SITE
In addition to this draft programme, it is proposed to hold several open thermal events at Little Haldon. Here the power winch and bungees will be available as usual, but I also understand Felix Martin will provide aero-tows at certain times - great stuff! As with all events within our club, willing volunteers would be appreciated, lugging and de-rigging of equipment is much easier when the load is shared.

In addition to this we have thermal soaring at Little Haldon every second Sunday on the month.
